Verse 26

त्रैलोक्यमिन्द्रो लभतां देवाः सन्तु हविर्भुजः। यूयं प्रयात पातालं यदि जीवितुमिच्छथ ॥ २६ ॥

trailōkyamindrō labhatāṁ dēvāḥ santu havirbhujaḥ | yūyaṁ prayāta pātālaṁ yadi jīvitumicchatha || 26 ||

Translation

Let Indra obtain the three worlds, let the gods be partakers of offerings. Go to the netherworld if you desire to live.

Meaning

Shivā’s message demands that Shumbha and Nishumbha surrender the three worlds to Indra and restore the gods’ offerings, or retreat to the netherworld to survive.
