Meaning

A prince has a pleasure pond in his gardens. Time's pond is the cosmic ocean that floods the world at the end of the kalpa, and in one corner of it the vāḍava fire (1.23.4) blooms like a red lotus. The destruction of the world is his garden pool. The reader is shown how differently the same event looks from Time's side and from ours.
