Translation
It is to be guarded with care, O Pārvatī, as one guards what is most private. By recitation alone, this supreme Kuñjikā hymn accomplishes māraṇa, mohana, vaśya, stambhana, uccāṭana and the rest.

Meaning
The verse names the six rites of Tantric magic. Tradition reads them inwardly: māraṇa is the killing of desire and anger, mohana the enchanting of one’s chosen deity, vaśīkaraṇa the mastering of the mind, stambhana the turning of the senses back from their objects, and uccāṭana the restlessness for liberation. These, it says, are what the hymn accomplishes for the one who serves it.
