इदं तु कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रं मन्त्रजागर्तिहेतवे। अभक्ते नैव दातव्यं गोपितं रक्ष पार्वति॥ यस्तु कुञ्जिकया देवि हीनां सप्तशतीं पठेत्। न तस्य जायते सिद्धिररण्ये रोदनं यथा॥
idaṁ tu kuñjikāstōtraṁ mantrajāgartihētavē | abhaktē naiva dātavyaṁ gōpitaṁ rakṣa pārvati || yastu kuñjikayā dēvi hīnāṁ saptaśatīṁ paṭhēt | na tasya jāyatē siddhiraraṇyē rōdanaṁ yathā ||
Translation
This Kuñjikā hymn is for the awakening of the mantras. It is not to be given to one without devotion; keep it hidden, O Pārvatī. Whoever recites the Saptaśatī without the Kuñjikā, O Goddess, gains no success from it: it is like weeping in the forest.
