Verse 10
स च वैश्यस्तपस्तेपे देवीसूक्तं परं जपन्। तौ तस्मिन् पुलिने देव्याः कृत्वा मूर्तिं महीमयीम् ॥ १० ॥
sa ca vaiśyastapastēpē dēvīsūktaṁ paraṁ japan | tau tasmin pulinē dēvyāḥ kṛtvā mūrtiṁ mahīmayīm || 10 ||
Translation
And he, the merchant, performed austerity, chanting the supreme hymn to the Goddess; those two, on that riverbank, having made an earthen image of the Goddess,

Meaning
The merchant Samādhi performs austerities while chanting the Devīsūkta (a sacred hymn to the Goddess), and both he and Suratha create an earthen image of the Goddess on the riverbank for worship.
