Verse 40
भवकाले नृणां सैव लक्ष्मीर्वृद्धिप्रदा गृहे। सैवाभावे तथाऽलक्ष्मीर्विनाशायोपजायते ॥ ४० ॥
bhavakālē nṛṇāṁ saiva lakṣmīrvṛddhipradā gṛhē | saivābhāvē tathā’lakṣmīrvināśāyōpajāyatē || 40 ||
Translation
In the time of prosperity, she indeed is Lakṣmī, bestower of prosperity in the home; likewise, in absence, she is Alakṣmī, arising for destruction.
