Verse 25–26

ऋषिरुवाच ॥ २५ ॥ तावानीतौ ततो दृष्ट्वा चण्डमुण्डौ महासुरौ। उवाच कालीं कल्याणी ललितं चण्डिका वचः ॥ २६ ॥

ṛṣiruvāca || 25 || tāvānītau tatō dṛṣṭvā caṇḍamuṇḍau mahāsurau | uvāca kālīṁ kalyāṇī lalitaṁ caṇḍikā vacaḥ || 26 ||

Translation

Then, seeing those two great demons Chanda and Munda brought, the auspicious Caṇḍikā spoke charming words to Kālī.

Meaning

Ambika, seeing the heads of Chanda and Munda presented by Kālī, addresses her with auspicious and gracious words, acknowledging her victory and preparing to bestow a divine honor.
