ॐ ऋषिरुवाच ॥ १ ॥ आज्ञप्तास्ते ततो दैत्याश्चण्डमुण्डपुरोगमाः। चतुरङ्गबलोपेता ययुरभ्युद्यतायुधाः ॥ २ ॥

ōṁ ṛṣiruvāca || 1 || ājñaptāstē tatō daityāścaṇḍamuṇḍapurōgamāḥ | caturaṅgabalōpētā yayurabhyudyatāyudhāḥ || 2 ||

Translation

Om. The sage said: Then those demons, led by Chanda and Munda, commanded and equipped with four arms, went with raised weapons.

Meaning

The sage begins the Seventh Chapter, narrating that Shumbha, enraged by the defeat of Dhūmralochana, commands Chanda and Munda to lead an army. These powerful, four-armed demons advance with raised weapons to confront Ambika, setting the stage for the battle described in the chapter.
