Verse 9–10
ऋषिरुवाच ॥ ९ ॥ ततः प्रववृते युद्धं देव्याः शुम्भस्य चोभयोः। पश्यतां सर्वदेवानामसुराणां च दारुणम् ॥ १० ॥
ṛṣiruvāca || 9 || tataḥ pravavṛtē yuddhaṁ dēvyāḥ śumbhasya cōbhayōḥ | paśyatāṁ sarvadēvānāmasurāṇāṁ ca dāruṇam || 10 ||
Translation
Then a terrible battle commenced between the Goddess and Shumbha, witnessed by all the gods and demons.
