Verse 14
ततः शरशतैर्देवीमाच्छादयत सोऽसुरः। सापि तत्कुपिता देवी धनुश्चिच्छेद चेषुभिः ॥ १४ ॥
tataḥ śaraśatairdēvīmācchādayata sō’suraḥ | sāpi tatkupitā dēvī dhanuścicchēda cēṣubhiḥ || 14 ||
Translation
Then he, the demon, covered the Goddess with hundreds of arrows; she, enraged, cut his bow and arrows.

Meaning
Shumbha showers the Goddess with arrows, but she, in anger, destroys his bow and arrows, weakening his offense.
