Verse 42
रक्षणाय च लोकानां देवानामुपकारिणी। तच्छृणुष्व मयाऽऽख्यातं यथावत्कथयामि ते ॥ ह्रीं ॐ ॥ ४२ ॥
rakṣaṇāya ca lōkānāṁ dēvānāmupakāriṇī | tacchṛṇuṣva mayā’’khyātaṁ yathāvatkathayāmi tē || hrīṁ ōṁ || 42 ||
Translation
And (she is) the benefactress of the gods for the protection of the worlds. Please listen to that (story) which I will narrate to you in detail as it happened. || Hrīm Om ||

Meaning
The sage emphasizes the Goddess's eternal role as the protector of the universe and benefactor of the gods. He then invites the king to listen attentively to the next episode of her divine play (lila), which he will now recount faithfully. The chapter concludes with potent seed mantras.
