Verse 41
पुनश्च गौरीदेहात्सा समुद्भूता यथाभवत्। वधाय दुष्टदैत्यानां तथा शुम्भनिशुम्भयोः ॥ ४१ ॥
punaśca gaurīdēhātsā samudbhūtā yathābhavat | vadhāya duṣṭadaityānāṁ tathā śumbhaniśumbhayōḥ || 41 ||
Translation
And how she again manifested from the body of Gauri (Parvati) for the slaying of the wicked demons, and namely of Shumbha and Nishumbha.

Meaning
The sage previews the next part of the story. The Goddess, who had disappeared, will reappear in a different form. This time, she will emerge from the body of Parvati (Gauri) to destroy a new set of demons, the brothers Shumbha and Nishumbha, whose story forms the next section of the Devi Mahatmya.
