ततो युद्धमतीवासीद्देव्या शुम्भनिशुम्भयोः। शरवर्षमतीवोग्रं मेघयोरिव वर्षतोः॥ ९ ॥
tato yuddhamatīvāsīddevyā śumbhaniśumbhayoḥ | śaravarṣamatīvograṁ meghayoriva varṣatoḥ || 9 ||
Translation
Then there was an extremely fierce battle between the Goddess and Shumbha and Nishumbha, with a shower of arrows like clouds raining.
